Transformers 3:Dark of the Moon Review

Yesterday, i watched this latest and also the final installment of TRANSFORMERS directed by Michael Bay. I wanted to try the 3D version, and it was almost full house there-megamall cineplex. I chose to watch it here coz this cinema has the best seat-very comfortable compared to gsc n tgv(Ive tried all).

The length is 2 hours and 30 minutes-since it is the last one so i bet it's gonna be good. Tell u what..It's not juz good but...SUPERB!!! I must say im very impressed with it. Of coz u can expect to see many effects and it is amazing that the Americans can conquer such technology and expertise. The effects are so good and u can see the transformation in slow mode-very detail.

One of Optimus Prime's quotes that i like the most is, "You may lose your faith in us, but never in yourselves. From here, the fight will be your own."

Plus, the robots-Autobots and Decepticons, look so real and and i can never imagine the cartoon that i used to watch when i was in primary school is made into movies and i got to see them in real form.

The best thing about these movies is how they look, how well the transformers integrate into the real-life footage to make a compelling action sequence. Here it's cranked to eleven, and the CG is very impressive. On the larger shots, even tiny transformers far in the background look convincing. There a several action set pieces (specifically towards the end) which are easily some of the best of the trilogy. The whole scene with the collapsing building and the tracking shot of Optimus slicing and smashing his way through a bunch of Decepticons.It's the best live action movie I've seen in 3D since Avatar. The action/battle scenes are incredible. For someone who was really opposed to 3D,

Bay really took to the technology. My favourite part of Transformers, even more the mind blowing spectacle of watching them transform, is Sam Witwicky. His character is essential to the film and he is the glue that holds it all together. The first 15 minutes or so is all exposition. They go to the moon and discover the crashed Transformer(Sentinel prime, the previous leader for the Autobots before Optimus) there and it is a very well done beginning. But when Sam finally gets on screen you feel a sense of relief. His mannerisms(clumsiness), his idiosyncratic ways and his entire ethos is what makes the Transformer films so much fun from the human side. Here, he has grown up. He is disgruntled as he feels he should have some cushy, well paying government job seeing as he saved the world twice. But he is unemployed and looking for work.

Moreover, his new girlfriend is hot, obviously, but she is a nice addition to the film. Cameos by John Malkovich and Ken Jeong are played strictly for laughs and they do it well, especially Jeong who's a short and sneaky man working in Malkovich's company. He had some of the best early laughs. However, John Malkovich' talent(a very well known veteran actor) is wasted a bit-his scene is not more than 10 minutes i guess.

So, the rest? U better watch it...and i wud strongly recommend u to go for the 3D version and ull leave the cinema with satisfaction feeling. No doubt.
