Monday blues...

My Monday is not so "Blues'. A tiring Monday instead. Pack with many classes. The short gap in between. Juz when im bout to do something, its time to go to the next class. Huh...Wat to do..Juz follow the rules n the schedule given..In class, explaining, discussing and consulting the students regarding their last assignment, "Research Writing". The dateline is approaching...soon. So, i urge them to work faster and harder than before. I was in their shoes before. And, i didnt find any reason to postpone or asking for a delay, in submitting the research.

< I remember it very well, when i was in PPP UiTM, Section 17 back in 1999-2003...We were assigned to come out with a website-Group project. We worked so hard, and i had to go to my friend's house each time we wanted to do it, let it be discussion or creating the web. I remember exactly, few days before we submitted the website to our lecturer, Mr.Izaham (now Prof.Izaham), unexpected thing happened to us. The effort and all the hardwork that we'd put in, suddenly wasted juz like that...I felt so sad n frustrated when the website that we had created  couldnt be retrieved and displayed at all!! Juz imagine, 1 day before the dateline this incident happened. I couldnt imagine what would happen if we didnt submit it on time. All i was thinking about at that time, how to create another one as fast as we could.

There were three of us, Banu, Lia n me in this group. Crying wasnt the solution as we were so tired too at that time. We had to do what we were supposed to do. To start with a new website (bear in mind that we had to link few things there, created questions n quizzes using Hot Potato software etc.) was what we had to do. We worked really hard, all out, until morning n we did take turn when one of us took a break in between. I didnt really sleep well, in fact, we worked from the afternoon up to the morning the next day. Despite all the obstacles that we faced in completing the assignment, we managed to finish it up, at last. We didnt give any excuse or reason to delay it. As said by Prof.Izaham, the website must be submitted by 10am to him (in a diskette-there was no thumb drive yet during my years).
So students, what is the moral value here?

Yes, never ever give excuse or try to delay the dateline and put your every effort in doing the assignment. That's why we obtained "A" for our work. Alhamdulillah...

Unlike the students nowadays, like to find excuses for not submitting their assignment on the dateline given. Some are very disrespectful towards their lecturers and take for granted the task assigned. I dunno why they have to act this way..as me myself didnt do this before...Every assignment was to be done before the dateline n thats how i did it. No excuse n no reason.

One more thing, tomorrow is another 'BIG DAY' for few students as MUET speaking exam for March session will take place. I pray for them...Hoping they will get easier topic and they are able to communicate well about it. Hoping that their band will improve this time around. InsyaAllah...Keep praying for my students. Amin.

I think thats all about my Monday. Juz another ordinary day...Maybe tomorrow will be different...InsyaAllah...
